See what our Students say

I got my Leaving Certificate results back I was disappointed at first, I didn’t get the course I wanted to study Science at UCD; I was recommended to do a course at Killester College of Further Education as way of achieving my goal. I thought that it would be hard missing a full year out, as all my friends have moved on to study at universities, but I was wrong; my time in Killester was great and flew by and with the help of the wonderful staff that I know all worked so hard to help me and all of our class to achieve what we would like to do in the future, which I’m very thankful for and really without them I wouldn’t now me a UCD student.
It felt more like a helpful transition period between Secondary School and College, with assignments and workload and tasks similar to what I am doing now at UCD and I was prepared going into college with what I’ve done at Killester.
I made some great friends and it really felt like it was a very short year and I was surprised of what I was able to achieve in that time. I am now studying science at the university I have always wanted but I do miss my time at Killester and I am proud to have been a student there. Alex Usovich 2018-’19

After getting the distinctions I needed, I gained my place in DCU to study Genetics and Cell Biology.
The pre university science course in Killester provides you with a fantastic background knowledge of the core science subjects and gives you a head start for studying science at third level.
